Retired professor of Physics, ardent fan of telugu literature, and author of several poetry books in telugu got interested and wrote a nice article about these telugu word game inventions. 

(For the record, he wrote on paper, dictated and I (Hareesh) keyed the text into a computer, in Unicode format (UTF-8). We submitted a clean, typo-free soft copy to ఈనాడు. And what did they do? They retyped the whole text in their proprietory system (with their own non-Unicode font) and ended up garnishing the article with a few typos! We certainly did not expect this from a media biggie like ఈనాడు. What a waste of time. By not adopting technically advanced standards, telugu society continues to have poor digital literacy (and literacy itself) in matters related to telugu text. Even today (2026), the proportion of telugu people who know how to produce తెలుగు text on a digital device is abysmally poor. Hopefully ఈనాడు will migrate to Unicode format for text if they haven't already done so.)
